Carlebach Classics Gala Concert:

Hazzan Tibor Kovari

Shlomo Carlebach, known as “The Singing Rabbi”, is considered the foremost Jewish religious songwriter of the 20th century. He composed thousands of melodies and recorded more than 25 albums that continue to have widespread popularity and appeal the world over.

This exciting concert, starring Hazzan Tibor Kovari, blends Rav Shlomo’s songs and classical music. Enjoy Carlebach favourites with brand new arrangements for hazzan, chamber orchestra and choir.  And in the true Carlebach style, you’ll love singing along in moments of joyous kumzits! Rabbi Jarrod Grover narrates stories of Carlebach’s life, music, legacy and special connection to Beth Tikvah and the Toronto Jewish Community.

Featuring the Beth Tikvah Choir and Beth Tikvah Chamber Orchestra conducted by Alexander Veprinskiy
