The Great American Jewish Songbook
Simon Spiro and the Broadway Singers
After his sell-out last year 100 Years of Jewish Hollywood, Simon Spiro is back with another smash. This scintillating evening celebrates the world's most popular songs and the Jewish songwriters who wrote them. Simon stars, along with the Broadway Singers and the fabulous 30-piece Songbook Orchestra. Featuring film clips on a giant screen, a special appearance by Toronto's Voices of Tomorrow, and the extraordinary Toronto Heschel School Choir, Simon adds some surprises to ensure another dazzling production.
Simon Spiro is known in his native England as “The British Jazz Singer” for
successfully balancing dual musical careers. He is a world-renowned Cantor who
has also sung pop with Elton John, Shania Twain, Phil Collins, Cliff Richards and
more. In Canada, he is known for his spectacular musical productions at Beth
Tzedec Congregation, the Music Synagogue of Toronto.
