PERFORMER BIO
Mike Anklewicz has led his Klezmer trio in concert in Canada and Europe, performing frequently at events and venues large and small, including last summer’s concert in Amsterdam’s historic Portuguese Synagogue. Mike holds a PhD in ethnomusicology from York University where he wrote his dissertation on the subject of fusion in Klezmer. He has studied clarinet with some of the greats of the Klezmer world including David Krakauer, Joel Rubin and Merlin Shepherd.
