The Music of Milton Barnes

It’s Mother’s Day, so invite Mom to a perfect evening of music!

We open Jewish Music Week 2015 with a glorious salute to the music of Milton Barnes, one of Canada’s most beloved and prolific Jewish composers. Renowned musicians Erica Goodman (harp), Suzanne Shulman (flute), Ivan Ivanovich (viola), and Joseph Macerollo (accordion) present some of Milton Barnes’ most exquisite chamber music including the long awaited performance of the famous Harbord Street, originally commissioned for and recorded by Trio Lyra. This outstanding musical evening is further enhanced with special appearances by musicians Micah and Daniel Barnes, the composer’s sons, who will share personal anecdotes and memories about their father.
