Music of Salamone Rossi
HaKol Ha'Ivri
Join us for an hour of magnificent vocal music by Salamone Rossi, the famous 16th century Jewish composer who served as a transitional figure between the late Italian Renaissance and early Baroque period. HaKol Ha’Ivri, Toronto’s freshest new a cappella quartet, will sing Rossi’s madrigals and sacred texts for a simply delightful afternoon!

HaKol Ha’Ivri features four award-winning Canadian soloists who joined together with the desire to present repertoire combining Classical genres and Jewish tradition. Soprano Jessica Strong (Opera Studio of Frankfurt Opera, semi-finalist for The Metropolitan Opera competition), mezzo-soprano Christina Stelmacovich (Tafelmusik Baroque Choir, winner of International Brahms Competition), tenor Robert Kinar (Tafelmusik Baroque Choir, Beth Tzedec Singers, Toronto area soloist), and baritone James Baldwin (Canadian Opera Chorus, Toronto area soloist). hakolhaivri@gmail.com
