PERFORMER BIO

Steven Lutvak is one of New York’s most exciting musicians. His Broadway debut earned him the 2014 Drama Desk, Drama League, Outer Critics Circle and Tony Awards for Best Musical, and as a songwriter he has earned more awards than space will allow us to share. He has performed at both Carnegie Hall and Carnegie Recital Hall, to sold-out audiences in every prestigious cabaret club in New York, and he performs his songs nationally and internationally. Several of Steven’s songs are discussed in the book “Classic American Song”, and his two CDs The Time It Takes and Ahead of my Heart have received critical acclaim.

The Toast of Broadway:

Steven Lutvak

We are thrilled to kick off Jewish Music Week 2016 with Steven Lutvak, the Tony Award-winning force behind Broadway’s A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder.  Let this brilliant and ever-clever songwriter entertain you from the piano as he shares his songs, both heartfelt and rib-tickling. It’s a sneak peak into the song catalogue of a truly gifted lyricist and composer whose high calibre writing continues the tradition of Cole Porter and the Gershwins. With special guests from the Toronto musical theatre world, Thom Allison, Elicia Mackenzie and Jennifer Taverner.
