PERFORMER BIO 

 

Originally an opera singer, Deborah Staiman earned a Master of Sacred Music and Ordination as a Cantor from Hebrew Union College. Her interest in Yiddish led her to studies at the YIVO Institute for Jewish Research and at Columbia University’s Uriel Weinrich program. Deborah has performed in London, Israel, Canada and throughout the USA. Her CD Mosaic is a reflection of her musical journey.
