An exciting musical afternoon for Victoria Day!

Join us at the new stage in Nathan Philips Square for a full afternoon of Jewish music. Two energetic community bands and the most charismatic of vocal groups entertain you on an exciting musical afternoon for Victoria Day!

12:00 Klezkonnection is the largest community Klezmer band in Canada, under the leadership of clarinetist Jonno Lightstone of the Yiddish Swingtet (catch them on Friday’s Afternoon Tunes). The lively spirit of traditional Klezmer will tickle your heart, lift your spirits, and carry you back to a time gone by!

1:15 Resa’s Pieces Concert Band is now completing its 14th season and has become a recognized fixture on the Toronto music scene. Led by the talented Resa Kochberg, it is the largest community concert band in Toronto with over 50 members ranging in age from twenty to ninety. Resa’s Pieces play flutes, clarinets, bassoons, saxes, trumpets, French horns, trombones, tubas and percussion.
