What's NU in New Jewish Jazz
Ron Davis
In this lively session, come see why pianist Ron Davis is one of Jewish Music Week’s most beloved performers. Filling the atrium with the soaring sounds of his music, accompanied by a surprise guest from the top of Toronto’s jazz scene, Ron will play selections from his CD, The Bestseller, plus originals and jazz classics. Ron will explain (and you’ll hear for yourself) how a Jewish background can sometimes sneak an appearance into the sizzling jazz of tomorrow.

Ron Davis has performed extensively and has made seven internationally acclaimed recordings. A sometime columnist for Canadian Musician magazine, Ron blogs at pianobabbler.com. Ron is also Secretary of the Glenn Gould Foundation, and sits on the advisory board of the Jazz Performance and Education Centre. www.rondavismusic.com
