"Barbara" French Cabaret

Charles Davidson

Monique Andree Serf was a French singer and songwriter known in the music world simply as “Barbara.” Going with her family into hiding from the Nazis at the age of ten, Barbara was deeply scarred by the war, and the feelings of emptiness experienced in childhood showed up in her songs. Now, in this exceptional cabaret hour, singer-actor Charles Davidson performs a tribute to Barbara, allowing us a glimpse into the life and music of a woman who left behind a very special musical legacy.
