Gala Evening Concert
100 Years of Jewish Hollywood!

Lights! Camera! Action!
The history of Hollywood and its music is an exciting chapter in Jewish history. Jewish songwriters have dominated the Best Song category at the Oscars since it was introduced in 1934. Tonight, Simon Spiro and his Movie-Land Singers, accompanied by The Hollywood Orchestra, invite you to a celebration of your all-time favourite movie songs and the Jewish songwriters who wrote them. A must see for movie-goers and music-lovers of every generation!

Simon Spiro is known in his native England as "The British Jazz Singer" for successfully balancing dual musical careers. He is a world-renowned Cantor who has also sung pop with Elton John, Shania Twain, Phil Collins, Cliff Richard and more. Known here for his spectacular musical productions at Beth Tzedec Congregation, the Music Synagogue of Toronto, Simon is much in demand for music projects around the world.
This concert is dedicated to the memory of Victor Topper z"l
